... to Andalucia has started; sort of.
With only a few more rides to get in before departed in a couple of weeks i was hoping to get a bit of race pace in. And Id say i got what Id hoped for, plus more.
Started the weekend with a solo less eventful Glenmore loop. Saturday we rode north and got a few hard efforts here and there. A good road rash at the furthest away point that luckily both involed rode away from; me more lucky then Jay. A few minutes to get shoulder in place and then he pinned it back to town either on adrenaline or a stash of hidden away pace. Craig and I took what we hoped would be some fun single track back to town but ended up being more of a who can master the walk/ride without a wipeout ... We survived.
Tired legs started Sunday. We met downtown and headed south. Again, i got plenty of what id asked for. It was a hard day on the bike, but so good for me. Besides body shattered, we almost had a problem free ride but it got dented by a valve issue on Craig's bike just before home. It was fixed by riding with the tube of the pump left on.... Always a fix...
Race entries are posted for Spain and with a current (and previous) rainbow jersey holder in our group it should be time to suffer even more....
So thanks boys for making me work hard and suffer and for not leaving me with no money and phone...
Happy Riding...
