With morning temperatures of plus 9 I figured it would be a windy day, but with blue sky how could I resist a ride on my last day off. And sure enough the wind, ice and the shadow gave me the run for my insanity...
Almost a repeat of Saturdays ride, skipped the single track in to Valley Ridge and went up over COP for the first time in a while; avoiding the killer downhill.... great day!

Happy Riding!
kate can you shed some light on the perfect set up....or at leadt the one your using??
ReplyDeletemy setup - Trek Cronus set up with a mountain bike gearing (11-32) and a front cross crank (46/34), run a tubless setup with racing ralphs front and rear (would prefer the old type of rocket ron's that came wider), at around 25-30 psi depending. With this setup you're good do almost anything the adventure brings - road, gravel, ice, snow, up and down, single track of all sorts etc.... and it's light enough to survive a little bit of hiking when the snow get's too deep and heavy. Wrap around fenders a must! For the really cold days I add my poggies :)
ReplyDeleteThough even more perfect - have a look at the new Trek Boone with disk! The perfect endurance ride!
Thanks! :)
